Processional
Entrance of the bride (with her father, both parents or a relative)
Welcome
Joan welcomes family and friends, introduces herself, acknowledges absent friends and family and mentions any venue restrictions regarding throwing of confetti etc.
Giving Away
The bride is given away by (her father, both parents or relative)
Introduction
Joan speaks about the couple's commitment to each other, what marriage means to them, and any other information they have told her about their relationship.
Monitum & Declaration of Intention to Marry
The Legal wording from the Marriage Act is spoken and the bride and groom make their public declaration to everyone.
Vows
Custom written vows are spoken by the bride and groom.
Ring Ceremony
Exchange of one or two rings
Declaration and Kiss
Joan makes a short concluding speech or reading, announces the couple to be 'husband & wife' and asks the groom to kiss his bride.
Signing of the Register
The couple and two witnesses sign the Marriage Register, Certificate of Marriage and the Marriage Certificate.
Congratulations
Joan congratulates the couple and introduces them in the agreed way e.g. "Introducing Mr & Mrs................"
